Charitable Donations
At the end of each match in the Tommy Swinburne Memorial Trophy, the James Cook C.W.C.S. Trophy and the Gordon Armstrong Memorial Trophy a collection is taken for various charities as designated by the families of our former players … Danny Jones is pictured donating a Cheque for £1,100 to Mrs Dorothy Hutton, Cancer Research UK (and also presented a cheque for £300 to Mrs. Jenny Kitchen from the James Cook Children’s Ward - Cleveland Suite) at the League Presentation Evening 25th July 2014. In return, Mrs. Janet Leafe, Executive for Teesside Cancer Research U.K. presented a Certificate of Appreciation from Cancer Research U.K. to the Guisborough & District 5s&3s Domino League for previously donating £16,750 over the previous 15 years.
